Edwina is a clinical pharmacist with over seven years of experience in Australian hospitals which have included clinical work in Paediatric Oncology, Adult Oncology, General Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Hospital in the Home, Cardiothoracic, Rehabilitation, Respiratory Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Edwina is the lead antimicrobial stewardship pharmacist for the Canberra Hospital, which is the tertiary referral centre for the Australian Capital Territory and surrounding region. Edwina is passionate about optimising antimicrobial usage in both the hospital and primary care settings. Edwina is completing a Master of Public Health and Health Management from the University of New South Wales. Her key area of academic interest includes qualitative research. Edwina’s research interest and current work includes qualitative exploration of physician perspectives and attitudes towards antibiotic prescribing and Antimicrobial Stewardship.
